Personal Story

"I created this space so students know they’re not alone — and that asking for help is a strength, not a weakness."

Hello, my name is Rayan Shah. I am a teenager navigating the rigors of high school.

Growing up, I was always involved in sports, but over the past few years, I began to notice how the pressure of balancing schoolwork, athletics, and social expectations can take a toll on mental health—especially during adolescence. After experiencing periods of stress, anxiety, and burnout, I realized I was not alone. Many of my friends were also struggling with their mental well-being for various reasons and often felt too ashamed to speak about it.

I realized that I wanted to be part of the solution by helping connect people—particularly those my age—with resources to cope with mental fatigue and stress. I have been fortunate to be surrounded by individuals and organizations that uplift the human spirit, and I am determined to raise awareness and break the stigma surrounding mental health issues.

I want to take it upon myself to continue learning about these challenges and to make this site a resource for anyone interested in mental health—especially teenagers and adolescents. By sharing my experiences exploring this field, along with relevant interviews, events, podcasts, and social commentary, I hope to provide a safe space where students can seek guidance and support.

Through conversations with inspiring individuals and organizations, I have come to realize that many people still do not fully understand the complexities of mental health or the importance of compassion. This realization fuels my desire to engage more deeply with the issue and to help ensure these stories are heard.

Mission

I am committed to mental health advocacy. Through this site, my goal is to provide educational resources, share meaningful content, and highlight individuals and organizations advocating for mental health policy changes. By sharing these resources and stories, I hope to reinforce the message that no one is alone.

By highlighting leaders and advocates in the mental health space, my hope is to help de-stigmatize seeking help and encourage open, honest conversations around mental well-being.

Future Goals

Looking ahead, I aim to highlight leaders in the field of mental health awareness, organizations providing mental health advocacy, and the personal experiences of teenagers and adolescents. By sharing these stories, I hope to inspire others to take mental health seriously and recognize the importance of self-care, community, and compassion.

Wherever life takes me, mental health advocacy will remain an important part of my journey.

Why I Care

A Personal Commitment

Mental health advocacy is not just something I talk about — it’s something I care deeply about. This platform is my way of contributing to a conversation that too often goes unheard, especially among teenagers.

If even one student feels less alone because of this space, then this work is worth doing.
